Opportunities for Electrical/Electronic Engineers to join a world renowned nuclear research and development company:
ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC ENGINEER
You will provide an electronic engineering design and analytical service to research and development programmes.
Qualified to degree level in electronic engineering or with a full engineering apprenticeship plus an HNC/HND in an electronic engineering discipline, you will have a good understanding of the principles of electronic engineering design, manufacture and configuration control as well as an understanding of project management processes. v51a
ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY ENGINEER
You will conduct EMC testing on a wide variety of systems and equipment.
Qualified to HND or Degree level, you will have experience in Radio Frequency applications, instrumentation and control and electronic design. v51b
ELECTRONICS RESEARCH TASK LEADER
As a member of the control systems emerging technologies (CSET) team, you will develop a capability in modelling and characterising semi-conductor devices.
Qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in electronic engineering or science, you will have chartered status or be working towards it. v51c
EMBEDDED ELECTRONIC ENGINEER
Become a member of a team involved in the design and development of Warhead Electrical Systems.
Qualified to Degree level (or equivalent) in Electronics or another relevant discipline, you will have experience in the design and development of digital systems and in the application of Hardware Description Languages. v51d
LEAD ENGINEER (Electrical Distribution)
You will undertake strategic planning and configuration management of the company’s Electrical Distribution Systems to enable these systems to be planned, designed and constructed to operate safely, securely and economically.
Qualified to HNC level or above in Electrical Engineering, you will have experience in engineering relevant to utilities including development of strategies and policy design, operation, configuration control and maintenance. v51e
PRINCIPAL ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
You will carry out duties as Responsible Engineer associated with Electrical Engineering as directed by the Head of Discipline Electrical or as required from the Intelligent Customer axis.
Qualified to degree (BSc, BEng) in an electrical engineering field, you will have chartered status or be working towards it. v51f
PULSED POWER CONTROL SYSTEMS ENGINEER
You will provide high voltage pulse power & control system on-line support for laser facilities.
Qualified to ONC / HNC / City and Guilds or equivalent, you will be AP(E) trained or willing to undertake specialist AP(E) training. v51g
SYSTEMS ENGINEER
You will conduct and co-ordinate Warhead Systems Engineering studies.
Qualified to degree level in Systems Engineering or a related discipline, you will have practitioner level experience of Systems Engineering. v51h
WARHEAD ELECTRONICS DESIGN ENGINEER
You will be responsible for the development of Warhead Electrical System sub-assemblies and related items.
You will be qualified to degree level in a relevant engineering/science discipline. v51i
