An opportunity has arisen for Project Managers (Electrical and Instrumentation) to join our client a major gas distribution consortium operating two of the largest gas distribution networks in the UK, delivering gas to 5.7 million customers safely, reliably and efficiently.

As Project Manager, you will liaise with Maintenance, Asset Management and other third parties to manage the design, procurement, implementation and installation of Electrical & Instrumentation projects. You will ensure that projects are carried out to programme and within budget. You will support the Project Manager (Construction) with the design, procurement, implementation and installation of E&I aspects of major construction projects. You will ensure the efficient management of contractors within the specific Framework Agreement. You will also ensure that projects are carried out safely and in accordance with Company policy and procedures.

Successful candidates will have a minimum HND in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or an HND in Process Instrumentation and Control along with Hazardous Area experience in a process industry. A knowledge of ATEX is also required and as well as being electrically authorised in some form.

You must be self motivated, able to control budgets, people, resources and tasks. There will be times of conflicting priorities and challenging timescales as well as being able to work with people at all levels.
